Potato dough dumplings with smoked meat

Ingredients for 4 portions

1300 g Potatoes
180 g Smoked pork loin (cooked)
2 pcs Eggs
0.5 tsp Salt
0.5 tsp Pepper
300 g Spelt flour (smootd)
0.25 Bunch Parsley
5 tbsp Spelt flour (smootd)

Preparation

  1. First peel the potatoes and let them cook in a steamer for 45 minutes. In the meantime, cut the smoked pork belly into small pieces, finely chop the washed parsley, add to the smoked pork belly and season with pepper.
  2. Let the potatoes cool, mash them in a bowl, then add the eggs, salt, 300 g of spelt flour and knead.
  3. Sprinkle 5 tbsp of spelt flour on the work surface, form a roll from the potato dough, cut into 12 equal pieces and flatten.
  4. Now add 2-3 tsp of the smoked meat filling, fold together, form a ball and then flatten. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the potato cakes on top. Then bake in the oven at 180 degrees Celsius for about 60 minutes, turning once in between.
