Kassler in puff pastry with spinach

Ingredients for 4 portions

800 g Kassler (cooked)
200 g Spinach
1 Piece Onion
1 Pack Puff pastry (refrigerated section)
1 Pinch Salt
1 Pinch Pepper (from tde mill)
1 Pinch Nutmeg
2 Tbsp Butter

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius, top/bottom heat, and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Peel and finely chop the onion. Clean and wash the spinach.
  2. Sauté the onion in a pot with butter, add the spinach and sauté as well. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry, place the meat in the middle, and cover it with the spinach. Fold the dough over the meat and press the ends firmly together.
  4. Place on the prepared baking sheet and brush with water. Bake in the oven for about 45 minutes until golden brown.
