Christmas roast

Ingredients for 6 portions

1.5 kg Pork loin
4 pcs Garlic cloves
12 pcs Cloves
1.5 tbsp Chopped rosemary
2 tbsp Liquid honey
2 tbsp Sweet mustard
1 tsp Salt
3 pinch Ground pepper
300 ml Clear soup
0.125 l Orange juice
1 tbsp Orange zest

Preparation

  1. Wash and pat dry the meat, if available, score the skin. Peel and finely chop the garlic. Spike the meat with the cloves.
  2. Combine garlic with mustard, rosemary, honey, orange juice, and orange zest. Rub the meat with this mixture and marinate overnight.
  3. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Lift the meat out of the marinade, season with salt and pepper. Place the meat back in the roasting pan and brush with the marinade.
  4. Roast the meat for about 2 hours, gradually adding the broth. Lift the meat out of the roasting pan, let it rest for 20 minutes, then slice.
