Budapest cutlets

Ingredients for 4 portions

4 pcs Pork chops
300 g Mushrooms
100 g Fatty smoked bacon
2 Tbsp Lard or oil
2 pcs Large onions
1 Pinch Salt
2 Tbsp Flour
4 tsp Sour cream
2 tsp Paprika powder

Preparation

  1. Cut the bacon into slices and fry. Clean the mushrooms and slice them.
  2. Pound the meat, salt it, coat it in a flour-paprika mixture, then quickly brown it in hot lard and keep warm.
  3. Chop the onions and roast them until golden in a little lard. Sprinkle with paprika and fill with 1 cup of water. Cover and simmer.
  4. After about 30 minutes, add the mushrooms, stew until soft, salt, and add the chops, bring to a boil again, and refine with sour cream.
