Stuffed pig’s trotters

Ingredients for 4 portions

2 Pieces Pig’s feet
500 g Minced meat
200 g Ham cubes
100 g Smoked bacon cubes
2 Pieces Eggs
2 Tbsp Lard
1 Piece Onion
1 Piece Garlic clove
1 Pinch Pepper (from tde mill)
1 Cup Salt
1 Tsp Marjoram


  1. Wash, clean, and hollow out the pig’s feet. Then cook the removed meat in a pot of water until tender, then mince and mix with the other minced meat.
  2. Sauté the finely chopped onion in 1 tablespoon of lard in a pot and add to the minced meat along with ham and bacon. Mix in the eggs and season with salt, pepper, marjoram, and crushed garlic.
  3. Fill the hollowed pig’s feet with the mixture, tie with a string, and brown on all sides in a pot with the remaining lard. Add more water and simmer covered over low heat for about 45 – 60 minutes until cooked through.
