Roast pork in herb and mustard crust.

Ingredients for 6 portions

1 kg Pork roast (ham)
2 pcs Garlic cloves
1 tsp Thyme (dried)
1 tsp Rosemary (dried)
1 tsp Marjoram
1 bunch Parsley (finely chopped)
2 tbsp Honey
4 tbsp Mustard
1 tbsp Fruit vinegar
1 dash Tabasco
1 pinch Salt
1 pinch Pepper
0.125 l Oil

Preparation

  1. First, rub the pork roast with salt and pepper and place it in an ovenproof dish with a lid. Place it in the cold oven and heat it up to 180°C.
  2. Prepared this way, the roast will cook in the oven for about an hour before being brushed with a paste.
  3. This paste is made from oil, vinegar, peeled and pressed garlic cloves, honey, Tabasco, herbs, and mustard. After the first hour in the oven, the roast is brushed with half of the paste and cooked for another fifteen minutes.
  4. Then the second half is added and the roast is cooked for the final fifteen minutes. Finally, slice the roast and serve it with side dishes.
