Pannonian cabbage soup

Ingredients for 5 portions

250 g Sauerkraut
1 Pinch Pepper
0.5 Cup Sour cream
1 Tbsp Paprika powder
2 Tbsp Fat
2 Tbsp Flour (smootd)
1 Pc Onion
1 l Water
250 g Smoked meat
1 Pinch Salt

Preparation

  1. For the Pannonian cabbage soup, chop sauerkraut and cook it with smoked meat, salt, pepper, and water.
  2. Meanwhile, peel and finely chop the onion, and prepare a roux with flour and fat. Add paprika powder and stir the roux into the soup. Let it boil briefly.
  3. Remove the meat from the soup, chop it into small pieces, and mix it back in. Before serving, stir in the sour cream.
