Steak Gyros-style and Tzatziki salad.

Ingredients for 2 portions

2 pcs Pork neck steak, 150 grams each
1 tsp Gyro spice
2 tbsp Olive oil

Ingredients for tde salad

200 g Cabbage
2 tsp Salt
0.5 pcs Cucumber
0.5 pcs Red bell pepper
3 pcs Garlic cloves
250 g Yogurt (Greek)
1 tbsp Lemon juice
1 Pinch Pepper

Preparation

  1. First, shred the white cabbage into fine strips and knead well with two teaspoons of salt. Let it sit in the refrigerator for an hour.
  2. Rub the meat with the gyro spice mix and let it rest in the refrigerator for an hour.
  3. After the resting time, squeeze out the white cabbage. Peel and grate the cucumber if necessary. Wash the bell pepper and cut it into very small pieces, and finely chop the peeled garlic. Mix everything together and stir in the yogurt, season with lemon juice and pepper. Let it sit in the refrigerator for a while.
  4. Then remove the meat from the refrigerator and fry it on both sides in hot oil. Do not use too high heat, as the meat should not dry out. Serve with the tzatziki salad.
