Ingredients for 5 portions

1 kg Smoked meat
2 Pcs Bay leaves
1 Pcs Onion, peeled and halved
5 Pcs Peppercorns
1 Pcs Cloves
1 Pcs Carrot

Preparation

  1. Bring water to a boil in a pot with bay leaves, peppercorns, cloves, and onion. Add the smoked meat and simmer slowly until cooked, about 1 1/2 hours depending on thickness. In the last 20 minutes, add the cleaned carrots.
  2. Let the smoked meat rest covered for 5 minutes. Then slice the meat and carrots and serve.
