1 | pc | Onion (medium) |
1 | Pinch | Salt |
4 | pc | Garlic clove |
1 | Pinch | Cumin |
1 | Dash | Oil |
1 | Pinch | Pepper |
Preparation
- Season the meat with oil, salt, pepper, caraway seeds, and finely grated garlic on both sides and place in a roasting pan.
- Add some water (about 1 cm high) and 1 tablespoon of lard. Roughly chop the onion and add it as well. Roast in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 2 hours.
- Keep basting the meat with the juices to prevent it from drying out. Strain the juice before serving. Cut individual portions from the whole piece of meat.
- I recommend serving bread dumplings as a side dish. Serve with the gravy.
