Tomahawk steak from pork

Ingredients for 2 portions

2 pcs Pork Tomahawk Steaks
4 tbsp Oil
2 tbsp Texas Smoky BBQ Seasoning
0.5 tsp fresh, coarsely grated pepper

Preparation

  1. Mix the spice mixture, pepper, and oil and rub the meat well with it. Place in the refrigerator for about 2 hours to allow the meat to marinate well.
  2. For a perfect steak, you need the right core temperature -> 52-55 degrees for medium rare (pink inside) or 55-59 for medium. Insert a thermometer in the middle of the meat.
  3. Then place the steaks on a preheated grill (with lid) and grill on both sides until the desired core temperature is reached.
  4. Wrap the meat in aluminum foil and let it rest or continue cooking on the grill (but not directly over the coals) for about 6-8 minutes.
